UI Innovator Workshop I-Corps training is now enrolling for UI Faculty, staff or students working on innovative research or technology. The workshop is designed to provide UI faculty, staff, and students with the opportunity to further develop marketable ideas to make an impact. Participants receive immediate access to a $2,500 grant to help bring their idea to life and at the conclusion of the workshop, are encouraged to apply to the national NSF I-Corps team program to receive an additional $50,000 in funding.

Initial $2,500 grant is intended to assist with early stage market assessment and prototyping and may include:

- Attending a conference (travel expenses, meeting registration fees)

- Hiring a grant writer

- Hiring a consultant or interns

- Prototyping

The early-stage assistance along with the initial grant has been shown to increase the likelihood of receiving SBIR and other additional funding - helping UI Innovators to secure as many grants as possible.

This multi-day workshop will be held the evenings of January 22, 29 and February 5 from 5:00-9:00 PM on UI Campus
