Plan to attend this exciting FREE event, with three days of activities for innovators and entrepreneurs pursuing SBIR/STTR funding opportunities. This conference is part of the national SBIR Road Tour, an outreach effort to convey funding opportunities provided through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Federal and state program managers have been invited to attend a series of events alongside technology entrepreneurs and innovation supporters from across the United States.
Pre-conferences in Ames (July 13) and Iowa City (July 14)
Mark Henry, founder and CEO of Grow Emerging Companies LLC, will present “An Insider’s Introduction to the SBIR/STTR Process; What You Need to Know to Be a Successful SBIR/STTR Applicant” and “How to Talk to Federal SBIR/STTR Program Managers; Making Your 10-Minute Window Count.” Henry will also be on hand for a limited number of one-on-one sessions with each conference attendee to help with the funding application process. Pre-registration is required for a one-on-one session.
Attendees should attend only one pre-conference in the location that most is convenient to them.
SBIR Road Tour Conference July 15/Iowa City
The day-long conference, held at the Sheraton in downtown Iowa City, will include panel discussions as well as presentations by NSF, NIH, DOE, MDA, NASA, USDA and NOAA. Attendees will have the chance to arrange one-on-one sessions with federal program managers. Accelagrant Consulting, LLC, will be on hand to discuss services they offer with preparation of proposal and administration of awards.
